The VIS(US) teams at the University of Stuttgart are some of the largest in Europe who perform research in the fields of information visualization, visual analytics and human-computer interaction. In this environment, we continue to explore new application areas to complement our strong standing in visual analytics for geo-located and social-media data and visual support for training machine learning algorithms. In the scope of SAPPAN, we take the role of developing visualization systems for multiple scenarios, covering the topics explainable artificial intelligence, analytical provenance and uncertainty.
